Season 13 Episode 6

Ezra 6:14 NKJV

Premise

⁃ When we accept, allow, and apply the word of God wholeheartedly is when we see the benefits associated with the word of God.

Recipe for us to prosper through the word of God

1. Accept

1 Thessalonians 2:13 NLT

2. Allow

Colossians 3:16 NLT

3. Apply

Matthew 7:24 NIV

Fundamental truths

1. Prospering in God looks like His word taking root in your soul and benefiting you holistically.

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” III John 1:2 NKJV

2. Prospering is the result of the child of God who intentionally chooses righteousness out of love for the Lord and not forced obedience.

“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”

Psalms 1:1-3 NKJV

3. Though life, battles, and testing may not allow this to always be an easy truth to accept, The Lord has plans to prosper you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

4. One of the main reasons God prospers you is to be a blessing to those who are in need.

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”

2 Corinthians 9:11 NIV

5. Prospering in God ensures that everything concerning you works for you. Finding success (God’s way) causes you thrive in all aspects of your life.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28 NKJV

Scriptural Insight

1. Starting, continuing, and maintaining the WORK is what gives grounds for prospering. How can God bless what isn’t there?

“So the elders of the Jews built” Ezra 6:14 NKJV(a)

2. Your prosperity is contained in the word of God and released when it is spoken by chosen voices who God has ordained for your life and story. When this prosperity is unlocked, then you have the responsibility of accepting, allowing, and applying what was spoken. Then and only then will holy prosperity be established.

“and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo.”

Ezra 6:14(b)

3. God prospers you not only for your benefit but for the advancement of His kingdom ,story, and plan. Know this, God’s spiritual authority over rules the natural authority of any human.

“And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.” Ezra 6:14(c)
