Scriptural insight

1. Love for God is born out of a deep conviction that The Lord hears, responds, and answers us when we call. Fidelity is pledged when commitment from God is seen and understood. The letter of our life should state singleminded dedication to God because of love for Him.

Psalms 116:1-2 TPT

2. Salvation demands a response from the saved to the victor. This response is seen and felt through God first choosing to love us before we learned to love Him, Indicating that His love letter has been written while ours is still being recorded.

Psalms 116:3-5 TPT

3. Love for God is translated, expressed, and experienced through our ability to trust, believe, and have faith in God no matter the situation or circumstance. Those whose lives scream love for God consistently rest in the fact that God loves us too much to turn His back on us.

Psalms 116:6-7 TPT

4. Faithfulness is a love language of God that is proven when the odds are stacked against us. Strength is then given to those whose love for God has not wavered but remains firm choosing to walk with Christ in righteousness. This kind of love expresses more action than emotion and pleases our Lord and King.

Psalms 116:8-11 TPT

5. Fulfilling our promises to God demonstrates a love that He cannot deny simply because it reminds Him of the Love He once demonstrated. We can’t pay Him back but we can strive to please Him through our love for Him.

Psalms 116:12-14 TPT

6. Sometimes brokenness before God look like a life being broken up, disarrayed and rearranged. This is done to those He loves…

Psalms 116:16-17 TPT

7. Your love for God should be evident before those who also claim to love Him. If God is the only one who experiences your love then you may not be loving Him, but self.
