NEVER BEEN THERE | VISION SUNDAY

Season 15 Episode 6

““Early the next morning Joshua and all the Israelites left Acacia Grove and arrived at the banks of the Jordan River, where they camped before crossing. Three days later the Israelite officers went through the camp, giving these instructions to the people: “When you see the Levitical priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord your God, move out from your positions and follow them. Since you have never traveled this way before, they will guide you. Stay about half a mile behind them, keeping a clear distance between you and the Ark. Make sure you don’t come any closer.” Then Joshua told the people, “Purify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do great wonders among you.””

Joshua 3:1-5 NLT

Premise

- Considering that we have never been to the place the Lord is taking us it is imperative that we learn to follow, continue to follow, and teach to follow. The difference between then and now is you acknowledging and accepting the fact that you have never been there and need assistance getting there. And when you get there it will be the one who led you there who maintains you there.

Prophetic Insight

1. The pattern of God implies that you LEAVE one place before ENTERING another. Before crossing over into promise, we must let go of, surrender, and submit our past in faith that God knows what He’s doing with our future!

“Early the next morning Joshua and all the Israelites left Acacia Grove and arrived at the banks of the Jordan River, where they camped before crossing.”

Joshua 3:1 NLT

2. The will of God in the context of being led insinuates a posture of following, humility, and faith. Following the presence and the priest is the recipe one must submit to if you want to enter into promise in this way.

“Three days later the Israelite officers went through the camp, giving these instructions to the people: “When you see the Levitical priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord your God, move out from your positions and follow them.”

Joshua 3:2-3 NLT

3. You’ve never been where you are going. God knows what He is doing and is waiting for you to realize the same! Follow instructions and keep a distance! (Don’t become familiar)

“Since you have never traveled this way before, they will guide you. Stay about half a mile behind them, keeping a clear distance between you and the Ark. Make sure you don’t come any closer.””

Joshua 3:4 NLT

4. Purity and/or sanctification is the process in which the Lord prepares one for his or her destiny entrance, purpose place, and assignment arranger. Purity is the way of the postured.

“Then Joshua told the people, “Purify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do great wonders among you.””

Joshua 3:5 NLT
