GOOD NEWS | THE YEAR OF GOOD NEWS
“Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.””
Luke 4:14-19 NKJV
Premise
You can’t expect what you’ve never had. And you can’t wait on something you don’t know is coming. After all you been through, stood in, and you have prophetic permission in this season to expect and receive GOOD NEWS!
1. Sometimes it’s not what you are doing but WHO you are doing it with. You have to partner with The Power of the Spirit causing Jesus to be known!
“Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region…” (Luke 4:14)
2. Not only do we have to learn to receive what we need From God but we have to learn to give what is needed from God. Learn to preach the Gospel to the Poor whether they are rich or poor
“He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor…” (Luke 4:18)
3. Allowing how hearts to be healed is the prerequisite to God using us to heal the brokenhearted. In this next season, allow you heart to FULLY heal.
“He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted…” (Luke 4:18)
4. The desire of the Lord is that people are free. Which indicates that we must come out of any hung that has us bound. Proclaiming Liberty to the Captives is one thing, freeing them and you staying chained is another.
“To proclaim liberty to the captives…” (Luke 4:18)
5. You will see, understand, and have clarity about your salvation as well as your future without interruption. Granting this same opportunity to the lost is the heart of the mission.
“And recovery of sight to the blind…” (Luke 4:18)
6.Deliverance is the byproduct of being close, by and even residing the Lord. To be set free is right now is the good news to you. To set the oppressed free is the good news to them.
“To set at liberty those who are oppressed…” (Luke 4:18)
7. Grace, favor, and prosperity is your new normal because good news has located you! Proclaiming the Acceptable Year of the Lord to them is the news they don’t know they can have. That’s where you and I come in.
“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:19)
